its called "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien.
it was amazing
it is a compelation of short stories about the Vietnam war. The stories are said to be fiction, but they seemed so real.
i just finished the book, and i cried. not just "tearing up" crying. no i mean, bawling my eyes out, nose running, face red and eyes puffy sort of crying.
it was amazing.
just read it. it is amazing. you might not cry at the end, but it just hit too close to home for me to handel, so thats why i cried, but others may not. it all depends.
the stoy isnt all sad though, some of it is weird, and some of it is profound and some of it is funny and humerous. it makes you laugh.
i think that a book that can make me laugh and cry, is a good book.
so read it!
catt~
